Description of path

In Poljane, cross the bridge then turn left and cycle to the village of Hotovlje. Follow the signposts toward Vinharje. After five kilometers of cycling, you should reach the Ljubica tourist farm, which offers many pleasant surprises. . Continu cycling down a macadamized road to the crossroads next to a chapel. Now you have two options. You can continue forward, uphill and then to the right onto the top road. Alternatively, you can take the bottom road past the farms. The two roads soon merge, then descend to Prelesje and into the valley ob the Brebovščica river. You can avoid the main road between Gorenja vas and Poljane by turning right in Dolenja Dobrava and following the gravel road through Žabja vas to the starting point in Poljane. If you feel that this route is too short and not challenging enough (and it really is one of the shorter and easier routes), we recommend heading past Sivka toward Planina nad Horjulom, through Suhi dol to Lučine and down the Brebovščica valley toward Gorenja vas. Some cyclists also head toward Črni vrh and, before reaching it, descend to Visoko pri Poljanah. Another option is to continue your journey through Polhograjsko hribovje and descend down the Hrastnica valley to Škofja Loka. It is up to you to decide which route suits you best.
