Turnišče

The Turnišče municipality covers forests and fertile fields in the area called Dolinsko. The town was strongly influenced by the development of cobbling, blacksmithing and tailoring. In honour of all cobblers, the Cobbler museum was established in 1979 in a typical Prekmurje straw-roofed house. Turnišče is also a town of fairs, the most important being Ferencovo senje. Besides the economic and cultural sights, certain swamp plants can be found in the Turnišče area: the snake's head fritillary, the siberian iris and others.
