Litija is a municipality in the heart of Slovenia. It was first mentioned in historical documents in the year 1145. The geographical center of Slovenia is just above the village of Spodnja Slivna. The hard granite marker and other symbols are becoming a popular trip destination. Those with plenty of energy in their legs can continue their journey to Cvetež or even to Zasavska Sveta gora. Even more frequently, visitors are drawn to Spodnja Slivna, Zgornja Slivna and Vače, places known for exceptional archeological discoveries.
