Loška dolina

Loška dolina is a pleasant karstic valley at the crossroads of several ancient trade routes. Embraced by the mighty Notranjska forests, it hides many beautiful sights that were created over the millennia by karstic waters and cold winter winds from Snežnik. Only a stone's throw from the beginning of the city you can find the famous Križna jama, a truly beautiful cave with 22 underground lakes. Two of the most impressive views in Loška dolina are definitely the view of the castle ruins above Lož and the view of the amazing Castle Snežnik. But there are many more sights to be found along the numerous hiking or cycling trails, and many more incredible experiences to be had at the events regularly held in the municipality.
