Most na Soči sits on a stone pier above the confluence of the Soča and Idrijca rivers. In the past, these two deep rivers provided excellent protection for the town. Impressive archeological discoveries have made this town one of the most important prehistoric settlements in the world.

Many fascinating things can be found here: the restored remnants of a Roman house, the church of St. Maurus from 1192, the museum of the Isonzo front, the archeological museum and the birth house of Ciril Kosmač (part of the European program Genius loci).

The nearby lake evokes a feeling of tranquility and provides plenty of opportunities for recreation. Several hiking trails and the Lucija river boat invite visitors on a trip.
