Šempeter pri Gorici

The Šempeter –Vrtojba municipality covers the far eastern part of the Gorica plain, right next to the Italian border close to Italian Gorica. Here, the Vrtojbensko-Biljenski hills give way to a fertile plain shaped by the Soča and Vipava rivers. Many cultural landmarks such as the Coroni mansion, the Maffei manor, churches and old wells can be found in the area. Those who prefer a more active vacation will appreciate the local cycling trails, a well-maintained fitness trail and walking over the hills with a wonderful view of the sea.
