Mother Nature has gifted the valley of the Pivka river with many amazing karstic features, and the landscape is covered with fascinating traces of years gone by – stone age dwellings at Parska golobina, iron age dwellings, stone crosses, castles, fortifications and churches. Visitors can explore the enchanting countryside on foot, by bike or on horseback. You are guaranteed to feel welcome at any of the nearby tourist farms. The area is criss-crossed by thematic hiking trails, especially the Stonecutters' educational trail.
