The Topla valley beneath the southern slopes of Peca has retained the primal beauty of an alpine valley. Various plants represent an incredible natural heritage, and the dense spruce and larch forests are the most important wood grouse habitat in Europe.                                                                                   

Because of their ecological function, the river oysters in the waters of the Topla stream are an officially protected animal species.                                                                       

Several examples of historical rural architecture have been preserved in the valley.
