The Soča river begins its journey at an interesting Karst spring beneath the frozen mountains of the Julian Alps.

It is considered by many to be the most interesting alpine river, with small waterfalls over rocky cliffs, narrow gorges, wider areas of white gravel… But it is always characterized by its magical emerald colour.

Soča is a popular destination for fans of rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hydrospeeding or canyoning. The calm and refreshingly cold water is excellent for a swim during the hot summer days.
