The fascinating architecture of the Strmol Castle in Rogatec is a true magnet for the eyes. The Castle was built in the shape of a T and fortified with a wall and defensive towers. Near the end of the 17th century, it lost its former defensive role and was later used for different purposes. Now a massive three-story building, it is built in the Renaissance style with newer Baroque elements.

A reconstruction of a former black kitchen with an open hearth and a stone hood is on display in the castle, and the nicely renovated halls are used for various events. The castle building is surrounded by a park.
