The collections of Regional museum Ptuj are placed on several locations in Ptuj. The collections at Ptuj castle are: The Collection of arms, the Collection of musical instruments, the Collection of feudal dwelling culture, the Collection of turqueries, the Ethnological collections, the Castle gallery, the Sluga collection and the France Mihelič graphics collection.
In the former Dominican monastery there are archaeological collections: The Collection of small archaeological finds, the Antique, medieval and modern – age lapidary, the reconstructed Mithras shrines II and V and the Numismatic collection. In the former town jail the historical collection “Ptuj and its surroundings in the 20th century can be seen. The Mihelič gallery hosts exhibitions of modern art.
