The Betnava mansion on the southern edge of Maribor is one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in the Podravje region. The Versailles of Maribor, as it is sometimes called, was originally built in the Renaissance style.

After a fire in the late 17th century, it was restored in the Baroque style. The beauty of the mansion is intensified by the reclining triangular facade, the pilasters at the front and the entry portal with the balcony. The interior is decorated by illusionist frescoes and an extragavant Baroque staircase with a stone fence.

The knight's hall with paintings of spring is amazingly beautiful, and you should also take a look at the rooms with original furniture (which have been converted to the museum of the Maribor diocese). The image of the castle is completed by the beautiful baroque park.
