Gozd Martuljek lies in a colourful highland of the valley Zgornjesavska dolina and it separates the Julian Alps from the Karavanken Mountains. Out of the windows of the apartments you can observe the beautiful mountains called Špikova skupina. The most known peaks of these mountains that are also a symbol of the village Gozd Martuljek are: Špik (2458m), Velika Ponca (2602m), Mala Ponca (2502m), Široka peè (2498m) and Kuk (2427m).
