Advertising is becoming a more and more important facet of successful business in the modern world. Owing to rapid technological development, the Internet has become a medium which allows fast and simple access to multimedia information. The most effective presentation is done with a combination of words, pictures, sound and video.
According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, during the first quarter of 2008, 63% of all homes had Internet access. This translates to 1.057.893 Internet users between 10 and 75 years of age, with both sexes equally represented. More than half (58 %) use the Internet daily and 86% have used the Internet at least once in the last three months. The latter usually use the Internet at home (70%) and at work (54%).
The most popular activities online are e-mail and searching for information.
In the information age, the Internet is becoming the best place to advertise.
