ll find Preddvor at the base of Storžič, only about 10 kilometers from Kranj. There are four well-preserved castles in the city and its surrounding area: Turn, where the first Slovenian female writer Josipina Turnograjska once lived, Preddvor, Hrib and the ruins of Novi grad. The cultural image of the city is enhanced by religious buildings. The Črnava artificial lake offers many opportunities for recreation – ice skating during the winter and swimming during the summer. A small educational nature trail also leads past the lake. Mountain lovers can use Preddvor as a starting point for journeys to the nearby mountains.
