Velike Lašče lies at the meeting point of the Ljubljana and Ribnica regions. These lands gave the Slovenian people some of their greatest writers - Trubar, Stritar and Levstik. Castle Turjak, the Trubar homestead, the Stritar granary at Podsmreka, the hayrack »Ilijev kozolec« and the Podlog manor are cultural treasures that enrich the area. But that's not all Velike Lašče has to offer! There are also plenty of natural treasures: streams, lookout peaks and dendrological wonders.
