Ruše lies in western Štajerska. The area of the municipality is defined by the forest-covered slopes of Pohorje and the gravelly flat lands by the Drava river which are mostly covered with fields and grasslands. The varied landscape and natural treasures such as the Lobnica gorge, the Vernski slap waterfall, parks, the Falski grad castle, numerous events as well as many archeological, technical and ethnological monuments attract countless visitors.
