Pesnica is a municipality between Pohorje and the Mura river. It is adorned by many natural and cultural sights, including the Pesnica lake, the giant beech, the Jareninski dvor manor and a windmill. The lively pulse of the town can be felt at various events. Fruit growers celebrate their holiday in November, and the most famous event among tourists is Šmarješka nedelja in June.
