Kamnik

Kamnik is an old medieval city at the base of green mountains, a city with a soul and a history. The combination of traditional, simple life and the mainly untouched alpine flora and fauna gives Velika planina a special charm during the summer months. During the winter, the plateau is a popular ski center. Many tourists are attracted to the area's beautiful sights: the city of Kamnik, the Kamniška Bistrica valley, the Predoselj gorge with a natural bridge, the Koželj educational trail, the Volčji Potok arboretum and, last but not least, Slovenia's largest and most popular plateau – Velika planina.
