The farm is situated in the intact nature not far from Ilirska Bistrica (4km), by the brook Posrtev. The valley of the brook lies at the foot of the hills Brkini. To get there you must take the main road Ilirska Bistrica - Podgrad. Right after crossing the river Reka you turn right to the village Zarečje and at the end of the village you continue and cross one bridge over the brook Posrtev;just before the second one, you turn left.The farm "Bubec" is situated in the idyllic atmosphere of the nature, surounded with meadows, pastures and forests. It is open over the weekends from 1st May to the end of October. With a previous notice you are welcome there also during the week.

There are well furnished rooms with 12 beds available.

You will be served with specialities like grilled trouts, home made bread from the farm oven and other home foods.

In the brook there are trouts and the visitors can admire the fallow deer or mouflons, bred on the farm. Organized sport hunting can be settled or you can enjoy fishing in the brook or in the two near lakes.

Near the farm there are paths , suitable to walking, running, cycling and there is picnic place and a place for camping and a place to play bowls.

They have their own fish farm for trouts and egg production, so there are alwys fresh eggs and trouts.

If you decide to take a holiday on the farm "Bubec", you can make short trips to the sea or to the mountains. It takes only half an hour by car to the mountain resort Sviščaki, the starting point to climb the mountain Snežnik (1796 m); and it takes the same time to dive and swim in the sea in the bay of Kvarner.
