Dobrova - Polhov Gradec

Polhov Gradec lies at the juncture of three valleys: the Polhograjska dolina valley with Gradaščica, the valley of Velika Božna and the valley of Mala voda. The municipality is encircled by Kalvarija and the Polhov gradec mountains in the background. The city is a starting point for many hiking trails, cycling trails and mountain paths to nearby peaks. The Polhov Gradec manor house was once the home of count Blagaj, who gave his name to one of the first protected plants in the Carniola region - blagajev volčin. A special feature of the manor house is Neptune's fountain.
