Boarding house Merkež - presentation

PENZON MERKEZ, family run penzion, grew at the site of an old farmhouse dating from 1868, the image is maintained in external appearance.

It is located in a winegrowing region Bizeljsko, in village famous for Repnice – Brezovica. The interior equipment is decorated  in rustic style with carefully selected details.
Settled and previously announced guests (up to 50 people) are pampered by the fireplace in the hospitality room with freshly prepared dishes from grandmother cook and homemade wine bizeljčan. Groups of guests are  accepted at the vaults of the wine cellar and a welcome offer “Ocvirkovo pogačo” or Bizeljski buckwheat cake.

Guests are placed in the four thematic rooms and one apartment. Description and style rooms coincides with the grape varieties or. vine that grows in the home vineyard: Gutedel, Sylvaner, Moravna and yellow Plavec. Anna's apartment living room furniture boasts that it is Ana received as dowry and brought to the home of Merkez.

Easy walk to repnice, cellars dug into the sand, among the vineyards to vineyard cottage where the magnificent views across the Bizeljsko and valley of  Sotla.
They are pleased to show visitors farm animals and a pair of wild boars, which delight us each spring with the young.
