Description of path

The tour starts in front of TIC and continues its way across the Savinja river bridge towards Marija Gradec direction to cross a small bridge over the Lahomnica and to turn right slightly uphill passing the Church of Mati Božja. The road would take us further on between the railway and the Savinja river past the waste water treatment plant to reach the macadam path towards Strensko direction and again the asphalted road to Rimske Toplice. One should turn right at the railway station and go across the bridge to get to Rimske Toplice to have a bath in the Aqua Roma swimming-pools, to visit the museum home of the poet Anton Aškerc or to sightsee the Rimske Terme and the giant sequoias in the park. It is well recommended to use the same way to get back to Laško in order to avoid heavy traffic on the main road.
