In the embrace of the Temenica and Mirna - Trebnje municipality – Trebnje Tourist Information Center
Trebnje, a pleasant town in southwestern Slovenia, lies by the Ljubljana (48 km) – Novo mesto (20 km) highway. It covers the area of the former important Roman settlement Praetorium Latobicorum and lies exactly on the 15th meridian. The gentle landscape is covered by forests and vineyards, with typical rustic houses, wine cottages, churches and castles found here and there. Some of the buildings are considered important cultural and architectural landmarks. The city itself is best known for the Trebnje Gallery of Naive Art. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for adventure, especially around Mirna, Dobrnič and Čatež pod Zaplazom.
At the Trebnje Tourist Information Center, we'll be happy to provide you with all information about landmarks, hotels, restaurants, hiking paths, cycling trails, wine roads and events in and around the Trebnje municipality. We also offer informational materials in Slovenian and in foreign languages.
Enter the embrace of the Temenica and Mirna rivers. Come on foot, bicycle or horseback. The hills are waiting for you!
