The hut is located by the edge of the plateau on the south slope of Krvavec close above the forest edge near the upper Krvavec cable car station; the plateau is called Gospinc.
In three restaurant areas there are 140 seats, a bar counter; there are 7 rooms with 40 beds, there are 13 communal beds; WC, two washing rooms and showers with warm and cold water; central heating, running water, electricity.

There is a beautiful view from the clearing above the hut. On the northeast above the hut rises Krvavec, and behind it is Veliki Zvoh; towards the east spread the woody slopes towards Kamniška Bistricia, farther one can see the expansive plateau of Velika planina; on the south one can see across the Ljubljana Basin (Ljubljanska kotlina) with Ljubljana, the Polhov gradec Hills (Polhograjsko hribovje), the Idrija Hills (Idrijsko hribovja) and the Inner Carniola Hills (Notranjsko hribovje) to Trnovski gozd, Nanos, Javorniki, Snežnik and Učka, and in the foreground is the vast Carniola Plain (gorenjska ravnina) with Kranj; from the southwest to the northwest range the Škofja Loka mountains (Škofjeloško pogorje) with Lubnik and Blegoš, Porezen, Ratitovec, the Lower Bohinj mountains (Spodnje Bohinjske gore), Jelovica, the Julian Alps with Triglav and the west part of the Karavanke, in front of them lies the nearby Storžič; on the north are Kočna and Grintovec, and behind the peak of Obir. |
