Newspapers and magazines:
The most popular Slovenian daily newspapers are Delo, Dnevnik and Večer. Other notable daily newspapers are Slovenske novice, Primorske novice and Finance. Aside from daily newspapers, there are also about 50 weekly, biweekly and monthly newspapers/magazines with a wide range of content: agricultural, financial, religious, political, computer, automobile, tourist and other information. Regional newspapers cover current events in their region.

Those who would prefer to read something in English can buy Slovenia Business Week or Ljubljana Life Magazin. The first contains information about political and economic events while the second provides useful tips about tourism, restaurants and night life.

In Ljubljana, Maribor and major tourist centers, you can buy the latest issues of International Herald Tribune, The Guardian International, The Financial Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and Independent.

RTV Slovenija is a public radio and television organization with two national TV stations (SLO 1 and SLO 2) and three national radio stations. It also provides one radio and one TV station for the Italian (RTV Koper/Capodistria) and Hungarian minorities. The public stations face strong competition from commercial TV stations (such as POP TV, A kanal) which broadcast many famous American, British and other foreign movies and series in addition to their own shows. Many smaller radio and TV stations also operate in the country, providing people with information about local and international events.
