Ptuj

Ptuj is the center of Spodnje Podravje (Lower Podravje). It is the treasury of the millennia, a city of a hundred faces, treasures, wonders and delights. Throughout history, countless artistic and architectural pearls were created here. The Ptuj Castle, Mali grad (The Little castle), Zgornji dvor, the town hall, the Dominican monastery, the Minorite monastery and the Orpheus memorial are just a few of the sights worth visiting. There are also the vineyards of Haloze, numerous events and kurent, the region's most famous carnival figure.
