Lovrenc na Pohorju

Lovrenc lies inside a basin beneath Rogla on the northern side of Pohorje. Surrounded by the forests and slopes of Pohorje, the Lovrenc basin is special in every way. Atop Pohorje, in the headwaters of Radoljna, Mislinja and Velka, lies a peat bog with 11 to 22 lakes. The Lovrenc bog is the largest in Slovenia and the southernmost European bog on solicate earth. It is part of the Lovrenc Lakes forest reserve. The area's natural beauty is complemented by varied religious art and other cultural monuments.
