Velika Polana

Velika Polana is a Prekmurje valley surrounded by low meadows, swampy groves, good people and storks' nests. In 1999, the European foundation EURONATUR awarded the village the title European stork village. The cultural image of the city is enriched by the museum at the homestead of writer Miško Kranjec, the Copek mlin and other fascinating mounments. The unique natural heritage of Polanski log can be seen along the educational nature trail. Besides natural and cultural heritage, traditional crafts have also been preserved in the municipality.
