Bloke

Completely covered by the Bloke municipality, the extensive Bloška planota plateau lies at the far edge of Notranjska, between the Cerknica plain and the Ribnica valley. Bloke is the cradle of traditional skiing and the geographical center of what was once Valvasor's Carniola. The prominent plateau shape and the unique geological structure of Bloke are the reasons for the karstic water flow and the relief. Every year, running competitions are held in the municipality.
