Mokronog is a smaller medieval town in the Mirna valley.
The heart of the town consists of a wide road with a dominant church, the
castle hill and two rows of buildings. This is the intersection of roads
leading toward Trebnje, Sevnica, Trebelno and Šmarješke Toplice. It is a quiet,
peaceful place that is perfect for vacations, trips and recreation. The
picturesque Žalostna gora with its pilgrimage trail rises above Mokronog. Atop
a wide ridge south of Mokronog lies the rolling hilly terrain of Trebelno, 510 meters above sea
level. There, you'll find a place of timeless luxury – the famous Pule estate
with its countless opportunities for sports and recreation.
