Sežana

The area of the Sežana municipality is dotted by numerous karstic caves, one of the most beautiful being Vilenica. Other interesting sights include the Botanical park and the world-famous Lipica Stud Farm. With its opportunities for sports, lodgings and gambling, the stud farm represents the primary tourism attraction in the municipality. Many tourist farms, restaurants and inns can also be found nearby. The area is famous for the Kras wine region, part of the Slovenian wine tourist road project. Besides the stones and bora winds, Kras is also known for its prosciutto and Teran wine.
