Ajdovščina

Ajdovščina is the cultural and economic center of the Vipava valley, a city at the confluence of Hubelj and Lokavšček. Three mountains watch over the valley: Trnovska planota, Nanoška planota and Hrušica. The most beautiful view of the valley can be admired from the edge of the majestic Angelska Gora mountain. The Vipava valley is typical for the bora winds which have greatly influenced life in the valley. Visitors to Ajdovščina can explore the Vipava wine road as well as other mountain and hiking trails.
