Dolenjske Toplice

Dolenjske Toplice lies in the middle of the Toplice basin – where the picturesque Krka valley widens, where the mysterious Kočevski Rog rises on the right, and surrounded by low hills from all other sides. The biggest contributor to the development of Dolenjske Toplice were certainly the thermal springs which left their unique mark on the area. Shortly after World War II, a medical and rehabilitation center began to grow here. Eventually, it became a modern Wellness Center. There are several unique tourist attractions here, including the thematic walking trails (such as the Cvinger archeological trail, the dormouse, natural history and botanical trails), the wine road, Base 20 and the Plavica herbal farm.
