Located in a baroque mansion in the old part of Radovljica, the Beekeeping museum presents

the Slovenian beekeeping tradition. Rich collections show the development and importance of beekeping in Slovenia, which entered a golden age during the 18th century with Anton Janša, a great apicultural expert. The displays include bee hives, beekeeping tools, a biological room and the indigenous Slovenian bee, Kranjska sivka. You'll also find an exhibition of painted beehive panels, a typical example of Slovenian folk art. The museum also offers a professional library, an observation hive with live bees (during the summer) and videos about bees and beekeping.
