Škofljica

The Škofljica municipality covers the extreme southeastern edge of the Ljubljana moor, the Želimlje valley and some of the hills above Želimlje. Škofljica is located at the intersection of several major roads, and the delicious products of the Pečjak bakery are known far and wide. The swampy flat lands of the Ljubljana moor are an endless mosaic of meadows, fields, hedges and ditches that serve as a home to many plants and animals, including several vulnerable and endangered ones. The moor can be experienced on the educational nature trail, by bike, carriage or even the increasingly popular balloon.
