Ljubljana

Ljubljana is Slovenia's capital city as well as it's economic, political, scientific and cultural centre. It lies at the intersection of roads from Central Europe to the Mediterranean, the Balkans and the Pannonian plain. Its geographical location is unique, as the inhabitants can go skiing in the high mountains and swimming in the sea all on the same day. The castle hill with the Ljubljana castle rises above the old part of the city. Ljubljana is defined by its amazing architecture, and its symbol is the Ljubljana dragon.
